To counter the amazing news of the last journal, this one brings news that is saddening. No, nothing is wrong with the baby, or Ashley, but this makes my chest seize and hurt. The guy I'm in love with ["my kitten", even though we aren't dating] left for a two week trip to Europe today. I'm so depressed and sad, and I miss him already. I missed him while I was talking to him last night in our normal 9 to 3 conversation. He left early, though, around 2:30, because he didn't want me to get even more upset. I was probably the biggest cliche ever, saying things like "I don't want the sun to rise today" and nonsense like that. Man, it hurts so much. I want to hold him in real life again; his hugs are so warm and comforting. For the past couple weeks I've only gotten virtual hugs and glomps, but, it's better than nothing. I was so clingy yesterday, and I'm so happy that he didn't push me away, but held me closer. Ha, wow, this is depressing, and oh so soap opera. He told me he'd email if he could, and supposedly he's going to try and find me a present over there. As much as I want one, a present from here would be just as good, since it'd be from him. I'm going to Florida tomorrow, and I need to get him something...just to remind him that I love him. I'll post a picture of him, for you guys to see. I have ideas for a couple presents, but I need a really special one, one that'll knock him flat. Huh....Man, I miss him...for the next couple of weeks, I'm gonna be a little down in the dumps because of it, so, I might not get back to you as soon as I normally do [yes, I will still be able to get on dA, there's a computer there], just give me a little time. I got new about a week ago that one of my best friends, recently engaged, is pregnant. I wasn't sure that it really affected me so much except that I was super happy, and wanted her and her fiance to have a wonderful child and to love it. Today, however, I have received wonderful news [after much begging and pleading] : I GET TO BE THE CHILD'S GODMOTHER. That is great news to me, and I'm really excited and wanted to share the news with you, my dear deviantART watchers, and friends. That really, REALLY makes me proud to be her friend, and to think I haven't even known her a year yet. Wednesday, I will officially have known her a year. I also get to be a brides maid at her wedding. This is a great honor, to be loved enough by my sister-friend to be allowed to stand beside her in her moment of extreme happiness, and that I get to stand beside her and her child for the extent of life. Today, and ever after, I know the beauty of love and friendship, and I hope everyone has a chance to experience this for themselves.

The wedding's in November.
The child is due January 23rd.
